About us

Who we are

People Serving Empowering Communities (PSEC) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, based in Miami, Florida, which was created out of the abundance of service in our hearts. We are an organization at large with service at the very center of our hearts. PSEC is an organization comprised of educators, mental health providers, faith based counselors, administrators, and more. From newborns to seniors and everyone in between, when there is a need, we have the desire to Serve and Empower.

We are the helping hands to assist families in areas of need, showing that there is power in unity that creates stronger communities.

Our work began with helping mothers in dire need of diapers and other basic essentials for their children. It came to our attention that there are many families and others needing help as well. That’s where we extended our services, becoming the boots on the ground, meeting the needs for the elderly, single mothers, and the disadvantaged. We also reached out to the Foster Care System to assist in the areas of their children’s needs.

In times of family crisis, we are there to give the tools and new skills that will help to guide them toward improving their circumstances and how to function during those challenging times. With the high rising economy and the struggles to make ends meet we are here to help assist in their basic essential needs.

We provide guidance to encourage and empower families to find their strength in self-sufficiency.

Most times wellness is thought in terms of just the physical but it is so much more. We want to expand thoughts of wellness into the well-being of the physical, mental and spiritual. Furthermore, we wish that families be well rounded therefore providing advice and solutions in the area of wellness to promote families to living life fully, to living a healthy lifestyle. We serve by meeting the needs of families, changing families means changing communities.
